Overview
These terms of service are published as a draft for transparency. Shanghai Car Rental LLC is preparing to operate a car rental service in the UAE. The final terms will be published once legal review is complete and the service is licenced.
Rental scope
Origin offers short-term and long-term car rental only. Purchase, lease-to-own, and financing services are not offered at this time and will only be introduced when the corresponding UAE licences are obtained.
Identity verification (KYC)
Customers must provide valid identity documents before booking confirmation. Required documents include Emirates ID (for residents), passport, UAE driving licence (or recognised international permit), and visa copy for non-citizens.
Payment and VAT
Rental quotes show VAT as a separate line where applicable. Final tax invoice wording, including TRN display, will be published after VAT registration details are confirmed.
Insurance
Insurance coverage and any optional insurance products will be shown in the quote and rental agreement. Third-party liability requirements will follow UAE law.
